Testing Fasteners Part. 1

I read an interesting article as I opened up my Google Alerts today. This article expressed the need for fastener testing and the "how" and "why" fasteners fail. Nonetheless it was a very interesting read.Hence, it prompted me to write a blog entry about why fasteners need to be tested before mass production and distribution.

Here are a few items to be noted:
  1. Fasteners are meant to fit snug and tight on the things the mesh and attach too.
  2. Fasteners need to withstand bending to a certain level/degree.
  3. Fasteners need to hold up against pressure. The last thing you want is a broken fastener in your high valued and or priced product that you have to completely replace.
